Eco-repairs service helps Maryhill residents save cash and the environment TENANTS are getting more bang for their buck and helping the environment with a new repairs service. Queens Cross Housing Association has teamed up with Total Homes Co-operative to give its renters repaired and refurbished household goods, including washing machines and furniture. The Maryhill-based social landlord said it means rather than broken or worn-out items being tossed, they are recycled and reused which is better for the planet and the bank balance. Linda Burton, left, a tenant in Firhill, had a washing machine delivered and fitted on the same day and described the service as “excellent”.
