Of a controversial traffic stop in texas that ended with the arrest of a black woman by a white Police Officer. The woman was later found hanging in her cell, and now we have learned jailers knew she was a suicide risk. We have two reports beginning with Omar Villafranca. Reporter when 28yearold sandra bland was placed into cell 95 at the Waller County jail, there is now evidence her guards knew she had attempted suicide before. According to the sheriffs office, on a jail intake form, she checked yes when asked whether she had tried to kill herself in the last year. Surveillance video from the jail shows guards violated policy by not doing an inperson check on bland hourly, including the morning she was found dead in her cell. Shoot through my window. Reporter according to a Police Report the shooting started when the suspect walked up to a man near hamlin northeast and Queens Chapel road saying you know what time it is . The suspect had a silver gun, took 100 from the victim and shot him multiple times. An offduty officer seeing this then engaged the suspect who fired again. This time at the officer. The offduty officer used his Service Weapon to shoot back but no one was hit and the suspect got away. The man shot was seriously injured but expected to pull through.
