QUEBEC’S TWO SEPARATIST PARTIES aren’t noticeably affectionate at home but a few weeks ago they set up house in a grimy apartmentoffice near Pigalle in Paris and since then they’ve been making remarkable music together. They’ve been encouraged by some surprisingly influential French businessmen, scholars and academics and, indirectly, they claim, by General de Gaulle himself. De Gaulle, on Oct. 14 sent a warm letter to Jean Cathelin, a restless French intellectual who has visited Canada twice and who, with his wife Gabriellc Gray, has written a strange little book called Révolution au Canada.
