Some bids were considered for approval during the meeting of the Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen on Monday, March 8. According to unofficial minutes from the meeting, the city received four bids for the removal of trees. They ranged from $2,500 to $5,000. Aldermen approved a bid of $2,500 from Neal’s Quality Tree Service, provided the contractor has insurance and is going to clean up the area. In other news, Shannon Hall, representative of the park board, said two bids were received for the annual contract for mowing the park. The bids were for $7,000 and $8,400.
