步入2021年后，公募高管变动更是频繁。截至7月19日，公募基金高管变动总人数达到182人，涉及83家公司。
就高管变更原因而言，高管变动一般源于退休、任期届满、股权变动、内部岗位调整、个人原因等，其中以个人原因离职的占比较高。
前海开源基金首席经济学家杨德龙曾表示，行业内高管变更的原因可以分为主动和被动两种。其中，高管主动变更体现为个人为谋求更好的发展，如“奔私”等；而被动变更则可以体现为业绩考核不佳，被股东解聘等。
不过，“奔私”已不再是很多公募老将的第一选择。在公募基金行业快速发展的当下，不少离任高管和一些明星基金经理仍会选择留在公募行业。而“绩而优则仕”也成为基金公司一种行之有效的激励方式，提拔优秀基金经理成为高管并不是新鲜事了。
