CAMPCO joins fight against Covid; offers jumbo oxygen cylinders
Jumbo cylinders to be provided to hospitals in Karnataka and Kerala
In yet another example of co-operatives coming forward to help the country, Karnataka based Chocolate Cooperative Campco has announced setting up of an oxygen generation plant at government hospital in Puttur Taluk of Dakshina Kannada district.
The plant will provide jumbo oxygen cylinders to the administrations. The total estimated cost of the project will be of Rs 1 crore, said Campco former President and Director S R Satishchandra talking to Indian Cooperative.
 Satishchandra added, “We are in the process of setting up the oxygen plant and it will take not more than 6-8 weeks for it to be operational.” ....

After two hours of operation, the bodies were retrieved and rushed to nearby hospital.
MANGALURU: Two persons were killed after a mound of mud fell on them while repairing the wastage pit at a poultry farm in Panaje village of Puttur taluk on Thursday.
The victims are Ravi and Babu, residents of Panaje. According to police, the incident took place around 9.30am.
Poultry owner Abdullah had hired the duo to fix an air pipe that was connected to the pit. As they were working on it while standing on a slab, suddenly a mound of mud fell on them, leaving them buried. Police said the previous day, there was mud excavation using earthmovers, and freshly removed mud was stored close to the pit. ....

The Koti Chennayya Janmastala Sanchalana Trust is committed to bringing Padumale in to prominence in Puttur Taluk - the birthplace of the revered twins Koti Chennayya and their mother Deyi Baideti – which has remained in darkness for decades, said Trust president Harikrishna Bantwal.
Speaking with reporters, Mr. Bantwal said the Trust has already finished the renovation of the ‘samadhi’ of Deyi Baidethi and it will be formally opened by the end of April. The Trust will then take up construction of Bammeragudi, which will be followed by development of Kovethoota – the birthplace of Deyi Baidethi. It will take the assistance of the State government to acquire the 8 acre land where the revered twins performed kambala (the race of buffaloes in the slushy ....
