Drivers urged to obey traffic signs 24 Drivers urged to obey traffic signs DRIVERS have been called upon to obey traffic rules and road signs as part of efforts to reduce road crashes. “Every road user, especially motor vehicle drivers should know the importance of these signs, their meanings and why signs are placed around certain areas,” said Faustina Ndunguru, a senior official from traffic headquarters (public education department) in Dar es Salaam. She was speaking over the weekend at the climax of the UN Global Traffic Safety Week (UNGRSW) which was locally organised by Puma Energy Tanzania. The theme for the 6th UNGRSW was ‘Streets for Life #Love30’ calling for 30 km/h speed limits to be the norm for cities, towns and villages worldwide. ....
