CM Narayanasamy faces a challenging task
Amid a political crisis in Puducherry, a floor test in the Assembly of the Union Territory will take place on Monday as per directions of Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan. Ahead of the floor test, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy held a meeting with Congress and DMK MLAs to discuss further strategy on Sunday, and upon arriving at the assembly on Monday morning he said that he would reveal his strategy on the floor of the house.

Puducherry on Monday became the second Congress government to fall within 365 days after the Kamal Nath-led Madhya Pradesh government fell in March last year.
It is the third government if coalition government of Karnataka is counted which had support of the Congress. The Congress has shrunk to just three states Punjab, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. In Jharkhand and Maharashtra it is in coalition.
The Congress leaders in New Delhi assert that the fall of Puducherry government will enhance their electoral prospects as it will negate the anti-incumbency of the Narayansamy government and make Congress stronger in the state.
