(NBC10) After more than 30 years, Bensalem police have figured out the identity of a young pregnant woman whose body was found at the bottom of a well in an abandoned distillery. She was Lisa Todd, of Philadelphia, and was just 17 years old when she disappeared in the fall of 1985. Detective Chris McMullin, who worked on the case for more than 15 years, recently cold-called Todd’s family members to inform them of a DNA match. “Her brother was literally speechless, understandably so,” said McMullin. “After I summed it up, I said, ‘With all that being said, do you have a sibling that vanished or disappeared?’ And I was told, ‘Yes.’” ....
When Lisa Todd left her Frankford home for the last time she took a pair of designer jeans, a purple camisole, a white patterned dress, two pairs of shoes, black mesh stockings and two rings. It was October 1985. Senior year at Frankford High School was underway, but not for Lisa. She dropped out as a freshman. Lisa’s 18th birthday was two months away, but she was already dealing with adult responsibilities. She had a 2-year-old son and now a second baby due in just three months. Where Lisa Todd went that October day, and what happened, are questions that remain unanswered. ....
