Lawmaker enraged by hedonistic farms, chalets
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 31: Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) released a document entitled, “Our Nation is in Danger,” in which it recommended various economic solutions although this is not part of its duties, says Chairman of parliamentary Financial and Economic Affairs Committee MP Ahmed Al-Hamad.
He pointed out that addressing economic issues is under the jurisdiction of the National Assembly through the ratification of laws which are then implemented by the executive authority. He said the KCCI’s document contains unacceptable recommendations, such as amending the regulations on granting subsidies and imposing tax gradually. In another development, MP Fayez Al-Jomhour called on Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Ali Al-Sabah to prevent immoral activities as they contravene the religion and traditions of Kuwait. ....
