Arkansas PBS won five regional Emmy Awards from the Mid-America Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Saturday, Oct. 23, including the award for Community Service.

WFSU wins national award and growing audience

Kimberly Kelling, the director of content and community partnerships for WFSU, said the station s goal is to create content that is relevant, informative, and resonates with the community.
WFSU recently took home one of the most important awards in public media.
The station was designated the Public Media Award winner in the category of Community Engagement: National Project category at the 2021 National Education Telecommunications Association (NETA) conference.
WFSU was recognized for its October 2019 “Retro Local Stories and Screening,” a project that included multimedia stories about the claiming (by eminent domain) and demolition of Tallahassee’s historically Black Smokey Hollow neighborhood during the 1960s, and the loss of the Florida A&M University Hospital in the 1970s.

PBS Wisconsin has been awarded a Public Media Award for excellence and breadth of COVID-19 content by the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA).
Every year for the past 52 years, the Public Media Awards celebrate excellence in public media. This year, that excellence was amplified by creative and inspired responses to multiple crises. All across the country, public media stations rose to the moment and served their communities during their time of critical need.

Wisconsin Life segments.

WHRO Public Media started off the new year with a win this week! The station s new weekly digital series
Martha Reads won the Public Media Award for COVID-19 Marketing/Communications.
The Public Media Awards honor the achievements of public media stations in education, community engagement, marketing/communication, and content. The 52nd Annual Public Media Awards were given in a virtual celebration Tuesday afternoon, January 26, during the 2021 National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) Conference and Corporation for Public Broadcasting Public Media Thought Leader Forum.
WHRO was nominated as a finalist in six categories.
