Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has released the name of the victim.
He said 34-year-old Joshua Perkins died Monday at 12:05 A.M. from a gunshot to the torso, which caused internal bleeding.
Police have made two arrests in connection with the shooting.
18-year-old Arenza Brown and a 17-year-old juvenile male were arrested on a count each of first degree murder, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and attempted aggravated armed robbery.
Brown was placed into Peoria County Jail. The 17-year-old was taken to Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center.
The PPD said a total of seven persons of interest have been interviewed.

PEORIA, Ill. An accident in downtown Peoria just before 8 a.m. Friday left one person injured.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said a car traveling northeast on Adams Street collided with an adult male pedestrian crossing the street near Kumpf Boulevard.
The man was reportedly conscious at the scene when he was taken to a local hospital. His condition was not available.

PEORIA, Ill. A Tuesday morning shooting in Peoria’s East Bluff has landed three men in Peoria County Jail.
Peoria Police responded around 8:00 to the 1000 block of E. Republic on two ShotSpotter alerts, indicating a total of 14 rounds fired.
No victims or property damage were found, but the officers did find shell casings in the street.
Eyewitnesses told police the gunshots came from a reddish Ford Expedition.
According to Public Information Officer Amy Dotson, classes at Glen Oak School did not start until 8:30, but the school was made aware of the incident.
The vehicle in question was seen Tuesday a little before 6:30 P.M. around 2400 N. Sheridan. Police found out this vehicle had been stolen.
