Six Dorset schools report coronavirus cases as classrooms close for Christmas

SIX schools in Dorset confirmed new Covid-19 cases ahead of them closing for the Christmas holidays last week.
Radipole Primary School, based on Radipole Lane in Weymouth, confirmed there has been a Covid-19 case within the school and all close contacts of the individual had been contacted.
A spokesman for Public Health Dorset said that the organisation was working with the school and Public Health South West during this period. The recent case comes after a member of the school tested positive for coronavirus earlier in December. ....

Three Dorset schools confirm Covid-19 cases as people must self-isolate until Christmas Eve

THREE more schools in Dorset have reported coronavirus cases this week before the Christmas break.
Sturminster Newton High School, which has more than 600 students, confirmed in a letter to parents and carers that a “member of our school community has tested positive for Covid-19 .
The affected person and any close contacts must self-isolate until Christmas Eve.
Jason Davis, headteacher at the Bath Road school, wrote that while the news would “naturally create concern”, he reassured parents and students that there are “rigorous measures to protect students . ....
