live from cnn center, this is cnn newsroom with robyn curnow. thanks for joining me this hour. so, we know that afghan women are defiant, despite growing signs that the taliban government is sidelining them. a group of activists protested outside what used to be the women s ministry on sunday of the the taliban closed that ministry, and replaced it with their ministry which is called the ministry for promotion of virtue and prevention of vice. the protests came after concerns were raised about girls being allowed to attend secondary school. translator: you cannot suppress the voice of afghan women by keeping girls at home and restricting them, as well as by not allowing them to go to school. you cannot suppress the voice of afghanistan s women. well, the taliban have claimed they will not rule as they did during the 90s but they have done little else to calm fears that women will be denied basic freedoms or be shut out of jobs and schools. on sunday, afghanista ....
