The Public Activities Direction has been updated in South Australia.
The Public Activities No 24 came into effect at 1.12pm Friday 7 May 2021.
The Direction has been amended in relation to the approved contact tracing system:
A person must not interfere with the enabling of an approved contact tracing system or the uploading, capturing or collection of relevant personal details for contact tracing purposes.
This means a person who interferes with or removes a sign containing a dedicated SAfe Check In QR code approved by the State Government without authorisation is in breach of the Direction and may be expiated pursuant to an offence under the Emergency Management Act 2004. ....

Updates have been made to the Public Activities Direction, Supervised Quarantine Direction and the Residential Aged Care Directions.
Public Activities Direction No 19
The Public Activities No 19 Direction comes into effect at 12.01am on Wednesday 17 February 2021.
The changes are only in relation to QR Codes and are as follow:
COVID Safe CheckIn- QR Codes
People entering a business/place/activity with a COVID SAfe CheckIn QR Code must provide contact details on entry or as soon as reasonably practicable after entry, by scanning or manual entry.
Any business/place/activity collecting manual records of entry must ensure that the records are kept in a manner which reduces the risk of them being copied, photographed or used by another person (other than an authorised officer). This means copies must be kept safe and secure and away from the general public. ....

The Public Activities COVID-19 Direction has been updated in South Australia.
Updates have been made to the Public Activities Direction. This update provides an update to the requirement to keep record of attendee at private functions.

The Public Activities Direction comes into effect as of 4.48pm Friday 22 January 2021.
The changes are as follow:
Private Functions:
Private functions remain an invitation only event but the person who conducts the event needs to keep a hardcopy list containing the full name of any person attending the event but not their full residential address as this section has been removed from the Direction. ....

South Australia Police are reminding members of the public to be vigilant in scanning COVID-19 QR codes when entering businesses.
Commissioner of Police Grant Stevens said QR codes are critical in providing important information in contact tracing and will ensure businesses can remain open with the current level of restrictions.
“SA Police have taken an educational approach to QR codes in many cases, however we expect by now businesses to be well versed on their requirements,” he said.
“Businesses are obligated to make sure that people coming into their premises check in, there’s also an obligation on the patron to check in at some point whilst they’re visiting that business.” ....
