WFU students protest 'quarantine-in-place' policy

We are hearing from some Wake Forest University students who gathered in front of the school to protest the university s quarantine-in-place policy. Students said they believe that having others who may have been exposed to COVID-19 quarantine in empty rooms in residence halls is dangerous. About 100 students protested outside the university before marching back onto campus. Many of them said they believe the university is not listening to their concerns. “We have the common cause of just being outraged by the COVID situation right now,” said WFU student Rue Cooper. Off of University Parkway in Winston-Salem Wake Forest University, students made sure their voices were heard loud and clear. Students said they believe the new quarantine-in-place policy may be exposing healthy students inside of the residence halls. “They are placing COVID exposed students who need to be quarantined with students who have not been exposed to COVID in the same residence halls,” Cooper sai
