The Propeller Club of Port Canaveral, which hosts the Rockledge High School HELM Maritime Studies program, is a local chapter of the International Propeller Club, a business network dedicated to the promotion of the maritime industry, commerce, and global trade.
The International Propeller Club has announced that retired U.S. Coast Guard Rear Admiral, and current Port Canaveral Commissioner, Wayne Justice has been selected as the 2023 Maritime Person of the Year. Justice currently serves on the Canaveral Port Authority Board of Commissioners, where he has served as chairman twice, first in 2018 and again in 2021, leading the commission during the severe challenges of the COVID pandemic.
