baldwin the gun. the assistant director who told investigators he failed to fully check it. in a newly released search warrant, halls told detectives, i checked the barrel for obstructions. most of the time there s no live fire. she, hannah, opens the hatch and spins the drum and i say cold gun on set. when hannah showed him the firearm before continuing rehearsal, he could only remember seeing three rounds. he advised he should have checked all of them but didn t and couldn t recall if she spun the drum. hannah gutierrez was the armorer in charge of prop weapons. she said she handed the weapon to alec baldwin a couple of times and also to dave halls. when asked about live ammo she said no live ammo is ever kept on set. the sheriff contradicted gutierrez saying a suspected live round is what killed hutchins and wounded souza. we suspect there were other live rounds found on the set. i won t comment further on how they got there.
