Bringing art to streets

The Chapel Street end of Fitzgerald Street in South Yarra is being transformed into a work of art by artist James MacSporran, who will draw on his imagination and flair to turn the road into a brightly coloured, street art inspired mural.
Over two days on 15 and 16 December, James will be applying his talents to the road pavement, creating an eye-catching entry statement to the recently created pop-up parklet.
The new mural is a continuation of James’ abstract investigations collectively titled From the Streets. Highly influenced by urban scenes, street culture and graffiti the mural will be vibrant, abstract response to the energy and colour of the iconic Chapel Street precinct. ....
