Heesen Yachts has launched the 50-metre full-aluminium motor yacht Altea at its shipyard in Oss, the Netherlands last month. As the second project to be built on its efficient Nova Plus design and engineering platform, Altea is the design work of Omega Architects and Cristiano Gatto. Heesen reports that the yacht will be available for delivery in June. Coming in at just under 500 GT, Altea is based on the familiar Fast Displacement Hull that offers increased cruising efficiency and a shallow draft. Following in the footsteps of Amare II, Altea is defined by a strong profile with a vertical bow and prominent floor-to-ceiling windows set within the hull. ....
