The Ġgantija Temples, the oldest architectural stone buildings in the world, older even than Stonehenge and the Great Pyramids, will soon be overlooked by a five-storey apartment block, if a current proposal is allowed to proceed. 
Long believed to have been built by a race of giants, so massive are the limestone blocks from which the temples are constructed, Ġgantija is a unique prehistoric site standing high on a plateau surrounded by fertile valleys, on the gorgeous rural island of Gozo.  ....
