Frederick Hohman served as organist, host, and producer of a weekly radio series between 1976 and 1979, Pro Organo. The half-hour program was syndicated in the United States to 24 affiliates with National Public Radio. After production on the radio series concluded, the series name Pro Organo was adopted by Hohman as the trade name of his recording label, founded in 1984.  ....

James D. Hicks

James D. Hicks lives and works out of Bernardsville, NJ, USA, and holds degrees in music from the Peabody Institute of Music, Yale University, and the University of Cincinnati. Other studies include instruction at the Royal School of Church Music in England. He is an Associate of the American Guild of Organists. Hicks held liturgical positions throughout the eastern United States, and in 2011 retired after twenty‐six years of service at The Presbyterian Church in Morristown, New Jersey. ....

PHOENIXVILLE St. John’s Lutheran Church, 355 St. John’s Circle, presents internationally known concert organist Peter Richard Conte on Sunday, Oct. 29, at 4 p.m. Conte’s nearly unparalleled technical facility, brilliant ear for lush tonal color, and innovative programming style have made him one of the most sought-after “orchestral” organists of this era. In 1989, he was appointed Wanamaker Grand Court Organist at what is now the Macy’s Department Store in downtown Philadelphia the fourth person to hold that title since the organ first played in 1911.
