The United States Dressage Federation name Suppenkasper, owned by Akiko Yamazaki’s Four Winds Farm LLC, and ridden by Steffen Peters of San Diego, California, the USDF Grand Prix Horse of the Year 2020.
Suppenkasper is a 12-year-old, 18.0 hand, Dutch Warmblood gelding by Spielberg x Krack C.
His median score of 76.149 percent made him the top horse in the United States competing at this level and the recipient of USDF’s highest honour.

French Under 25 Grand Prix rider Cedric Gallinard has retired his number one horse in the barn, Scherzo ZC.
Scherzo ZC is an 18-year old Belgian SBS sport horse registered gelding by Ferro out of Rotgold (by Romadour II).
He is bred by Joseph Joe Zeegers and Odette Zeegers Jourdain-Collard in Belgium.
Late Bloomer
The dark bay gelding made his competition debut late in life at age 11. Under Thibault Cambourieu, the horse first competed at Grand Prix at the CDN Vierzon in March 2013. The pair had a strong first show season at national level and carried on successfully into 2014.
