RIYADH: The largest aluminum firm in the Middle East, Emirates Global Aluminum, or EGA, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Indonesian aluminum smelting company PT Inalum to boost Inalum’s aluminum by 400,000 tonnes per year, according to Khaleej Times. This follows the declaration of the Indonesian President on the importance of mineral downstreaming for Indonesia,
Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) and PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Inalum), have signed an agreement towards licencing of EGA’s smelting technology for a brownfield aluminium smelter expansion in Indonesia.
