The Government of Dominica is investing over five point eight million dollars on the rehabilitation and upgrading of the Grand Bay Primary School and the Wills Strathmore Stevens Primary School in Marigot.
A contract signing ceremony was held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Grand Bay Primary School.
Member of Parliament for the Grand Bay Constituency, Hon. Edward Registe stated that this is an investment not only in education but in the alleviation of poverty.
“This investment in education is significant and timely as it will enable us to develop more conducive environments for learning and teaching and many other activities that school buildings in Dominica provide. Now it has been said that a sound education is a sure path towards poverty alleviation,” Hon. Registe stated.
