GUWAHATI: At the recently concluded National Council meeting held at the National Headquarters of Bharat Scouts & Guides, New Delhi, Don Bosco Scout & Guides Unit, Assam, was for the first time in the history of this National Competition, adjudged the winners holding 1st position to the coveted Lakhsmi Mazumdar Award. The award was presented by the president of Bharat Scouts & Guides.
It is pertinent to mention that Don Bosco Scouts & Guide unit adopted Don Bosco School Amkachi in Karbi Anglong district for its community development project, under which literacy campaign are regularly conducted besides various hobby centres such as tailoring, book binding, pineapple plantation, broom cultivation and manufacturing, etc., have been initiated which have now become a means of ....
