A Cameroon concert where Naira Marley was to perform has reportedly been cancelled after the controversial Nigerian singer was said to have met fierce opposition from indigenous musicians. The singer made the appeal after the cancellation of the concert he was invited to perform in on Valentine’s Day in Cameroon. Cameroon’s indigenous musicians fiercely opposed Marley’s invitation to the event. Following the cancellation, blogs and fans of the singer condemned the cancellation, but Naira Marley said, “calm down,” via his Twitter handle. He tweeted, “Blogs, please calm down, don’t paint Cameroon bad. They are actually very good and caring people.
