Sarah Fuller is no stranger to making history. The Vanderbilt University senior shattered glass ceilings this winter as the first woman to play and score in a Power Five college football game. And she s now slated to take part in Wednesday s inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden. It s an honor to be invited to participate in one of America s greatest traditions, Fuller tweeted on Sunday. This historic inauguration is especially meaningful for American women and girls. The glass ceilings are breaking and it is the time to#LeadLikeAWoman.

“This is not a political statement,” Brooks told reporters. “This is a statement of unity.”
Brooks, who would not reveal which songs he intends to play, will join Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez in performing at the swearing-in ceremony at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday. Gaga, who campaigned for Biden on the eve of the Nov. 3 election, will perform the national anthem.
Brooks and the other performers will take part in a ceremony at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 20 that has been scaled back due to the coronavirus pandemic. There will also be a substantial amount of security for the inauguration, given the increased threats and security concerns following the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.
Biden expected to get Covid-19 vaccination early next week

President-elect Joe Biden is expected to get his first Covid-19 vaccination early next week, CNN has learned, and plans to get his shot for all to see.
“I don’t want to get a head of the line, but I want to make sure we demonstrate to the American people that it is safe to take,” Biden told reporters today in Wilmington, Delaware. “When I do it, I’ll do it publicly, so you can all witness my getting it done.”
People familiar with the plans say Biden is likely to get his shot next week.
