Kota Kinabalu: A total of 34 people participated in the National Bodybuilding Level One Specific Coaching Course that took place at the Generation Y Centre Studio, at Wisma UTC from January 6-9. The four-day course held in conjunction with the Mr Borneo Bodybuilding and Physique (Novice) Championship was conducted by Abd Aziz Admad from Malaysian Bodybuilding Federation (MBBF) with assistance from Joseph Sylvester and  Jeffery Thaddeus. According to with Sabah Body Building Association (SBBA) President Joannes Staneslous, the course organised by MBBF in collaboration with SBBA with support from the Sabah Sports Council (MSN) was aimed to strengthen the knowledge of prospective coaches towards developing quality bodybuilding and physique athletes in the State.

Published on: Friday, January 08, 2021 By: GL Oh Text Size: Kota Kinabalu: A total of 58 contestants will be flexing their muscles at the Mr Borneo Bodybuilding and Physique (Novice) Championship to be held at the Centre Atrium, 1Borneo Hypermall, here this Sunday (January 10). ADVERTISEMENT It is the first event of the year for organiser Sabah Bodybuilding Association (SBBA), said its President Joannes Staneslous (pic) on Thursday.  “We were supposed to organise an open event last year that had attracted a lot of interest from Sarawak, Labuan and Brunei, but unfortunately it had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 crisis. “Therefore, we decided to organise it early this year but only open to the novices. We are still unable to get participation from outside the state at this moment so with close to 60 participants in this year’s competition, it is good enough for us,” he said.
