Buffalo prepares for first significant snowfall of the season

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A white Christmas could be in store for parts of Western New York, with more than a foot of snow predicted for some areas by Saturday morning.
Buffalo city officials said crews are ready to clear more than 800 miles of city roadway. Mayor Byron Brown said the city has 70 truck drivers, 100 pieces of equipment in the winter fleet, and about 3,500 tons of salt.
Department of Public Works Commissioner Mike Finn said the late snow means more salt is ready to go. ....
