PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (AP) A partnership allowing Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College students to take an associate’s degree and turn it into a bachelor’s degree in elementary education at West Virginia University Parkersburg begins this fall.
“This is an accessible and affordable pathway for students and a greatly needed partnership to provide quality educators for West Virginia,” Eastern President Chuck Terrell said in a news release from the schools.
“This collaboration with our CTC colleagues at Eastern provides an incredible opportunity for West Virginia students from across the state to pursue the teaching profession without going far from home,” WVU Parkersburg Provost Chad Crumbaker said.
