Well here in daly city on thursday Second Harvest food Bank Sponsored a Food Distribution event here at Jefferson High School now it started about 11 oclock this morning. But there were cars backed up for more than a mile for folks waiting to get in here once they got in a they presented a ticket that had to register ahead of time and they present their tickets and then they are given boxes of food which contain canned goods, a chicken all kinds of different items here and it is completely free now had a chance to talk to the organizer of this event who says that the man now has just skyrocketed a year ago they were dealing with about 800 families per month and now here in the daily city areas up to about 9,000 per month. So the demand is great. She says theyve even seen people who used to volunteer here now showing up
