Saving Uzbekistani Lives and Improving Health
USAID and the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC) have provided more than $9 million in emergency COVID-19 assistance, including technical assistance, lab and testing equipment, as well as 200 life-saving ventilators, deployed in hospitals around the republic.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19 among children, USAID developed 11 Public Service Announcements (PSAs) and print materials to help families develop healthy new habits. The media package reached 7 million people daily.
