Fatal Shooting At Twin Oaks Drive Home


Detectives from the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office are investigate a Friday afternoon (2/9/2024) shooting death on Twin Oak Drive. David Hager of Twin Oak Drive was pronounced deceased on-the-scene. 
 
Detective Sergeant Joe Duncan reports that the preliminary investigation shows an argument escalated and one man died after being shot by another male whom he knew.
 


Deputies responded to the call off Halls Hill Pike where they found Hager and the second man.

Don't Drink and Drive Over Christmas or New Year Holidays

(RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN) The period between Thanksgiving and New Year are the deadliest travel days of the year, and we are now in two consecutive weeks of that period. Rutherford County Sheriffs Office's Sgt. Austin Watson said the deadliest local road has changed. It is now I-840. That has a significant amount of traffic, because it connects I-24, I-40, and I-65. 
Since the Christmas and New Year holidays fall on a weekend, Sgt. Watson explained when the roads were the most dangerous . . . ....

Rutherford County Made It Safely Through The Night

(RUTHERFORD COUNTY) Almost 5-hours after devestating storms swept that area north of Nashville from Madison to the Kentucky line, another front bringing high winds, hail, and heavy rainfall crossed Rutherford County. 
News Radio WGNS was in communication with PIO Lisa Marchesoni with the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office. 
She said, "Rutherford County did not have any major reports of damage from the storms Saturday night."
