GALESVILLE, Wis. (WKBT)–After 5 decades as head coach, G-E-T’s Jon Steffenhagen has decided to retire as head coach after the 2021 school year.
Steffenhagen started coaching in 1988 at West Salem High School as a Powerlifting Coach, while also coaching wrestling at West Salem.
He then served as an Offensive Line Coach at Winona State, and UW-La Crosse in the 90’s, before coaching overseas in 1996, as a Head Coach of the Ancona Dolphins in Italy.
He then returned to the Coulee Region, teaching and coaching at G-E-T. In his time as a Red Hawk, he coached powerlifting, wrestling, football, and also served as a teacher.
