It’s hard not to like Giannis the more you hear from him.
So I had an idea; to get a sense of how the Greek Freak has cemented himself and his Greek culture in Wisconsin, I sent our resident Greek Alec Giannakopoulos out on the Milwaukee streets.
Well there’s no way around it Giannis Antetokounmpo has had a huge impact on the Bucks and Basketball in the Milwaukee Area. But my question was what does this guy do for Greek culture in Milwaukee?
To find out, I went to the best place I know– Greek Restaurant.
We start out at Brothers Gyros and Pizza…and right away, you can see the Greek Freak.

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT)–With the game tied at 2, Ayden Larson came up big in the bottom of the seventh, bringing home the winning run in Onalaska Legion’s tournament game with La Crosse Post 52.
Bryce Hoeft was responsible for the team’s first two runs, as he cleared the bases with a 2 RBI double in the first inning.
Nolan Hargrove jumpstarted the Post 52 offense with an RBI double in the 5th to get his guys on the board.
Both teams will compete in the round-robin tournament Saturday, July 10.
“Welcome to the match between the Filmore Fungi and the Menomonee Bluecaps.”
And by pastime…
I really mean past-time.
“Back in the 1860s, nobody had invented baseball gloves, so everybody was barehanded.”
Bill Olm is the manager of the La Crescent Apple Jacks’ team that plays baseball true to the rules set before the Civil War
“The ball is pitched, not hurled. It’s generally a softer delivery.”
“The idea was for the batter to hit the ball because everybody was out here for exercise.”
“You can over run first base but your susceptible for being out.”
The game may be older, but the team is open for any new talent–believe me.
Blue Jackets: Goalie Matiss Kivlenieks, 24, dies in accident

UNDATED (AP) A medical examiner in Michigan says Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks died of chest trauma due to a fireworks mortar blast, and not a subsequent fall as authorities previously reported.
Police in Novi, Michigan, tell The Associated Press a mortar-style firework tilted slightly and started to fire toward people nearby. Police say Kivlenieks was in a hot tub and fled with several other people. Kivlenieks was pronounced dead after first responders reached the scene. He was 24.
The Blue Jackets called it a “tragic accident.” Their statement made no mention of fireworks.
