Memo Gidley and Jason Bell extended their championship leads after the 45-minute Race 1 for GT America powered by AWS on the 3.741-mile, 17-turn circuit of Sebring International Raceway. Gidley led from start to finish after starting on pole in the SRO3 class.

The clouds seemed to part for just enough time to complete Race 1 for the GT America powered by AWS series at the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix. Johnny O’Connell took home his first win of the year in the SRO3 class and Robb Holland made it three wins in a row on the streets of Nashville in GT.
Race 1 at Virginia International Raceway was a challenging 40-minute event for the GT America powered by AWS field, as the race was punctuated by a number of yellow flags. Championship leader Memo Gidley kept it clean and brought home the win and fastest lap leading into tomorrow’s race.
