NORRISTOWN The Montgomery County Office of the Public Defender announced two outdoor Community Resource Fairs being held on April 24 and May 8 featuring a wide range of important resources and organizations to share with the community.
These gatherings will highlight the newly authorized Expedited Pardon Program available for people with nonviolent marijuana-related convictions in the Commonwealth. The Montgomery County Public Defenderâs Office is leading an effort to educate and assist people with such records in Montgomery County. Through a fast-track review process offered by the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons, people who have suffered job insecurity as a result of the pandemic can get expedited assistance to improve their quality of life. These events will educate the public about this program and provide guidance on how to successfully apply for a pardon.
