Community rallies together to make sure Manhattan Potato Festival takes place

MANHATTAN â Every year in late August, the Potato Festival brings a big crowd to the Little Apple to celebrate the community with a firemanâs breakfast, parade, and of course lots of potatoes.
Which why when residents heard the festival would be canceled knew they had to take some action.
âI think itâs just like the entire community coming together as one. The hometown feeling and reuniting with friends and the street dance and the firemenâs breakfast. It was just always something that everyone looked forward to in Manhattan,â said Chelle White.
