Less than five months after landing a new radio gig at WJAS-AM Pittsburgh, controversial media personality Wendy Bell has once again been taken off the airwaves.
Bell was hired in January by WJAS, a broadcasting station owned by St. Barnabas Health System, a retirement and assisted living community located in Pittsburgh’s North Hills. In a statement made to the
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, WJAS pulling Bell off the air was a “personnel matter” that is being handled within the company, according to St. Barnabas Health System spokesperson Michele Bradac.
Bell being removed from WJAS is the third time since 2016 that Bell has been taken off the air by Pittsburgh-area media companies. The former WTAE anchor was fired in 2016 after she posted a racist message on Fac ....
