The World Bank-supported JEEViKA program in rural Bihar has improved women's nutrition awareness through self-help groups, notably benefiting children's health. The transformation resulted from extensive health communication, local leader capacity building, and training community resource persons known as "Poshan Sakhis" to reach vulnerable groups. Their numbers have nearly doubled in three years, and JEEViKA is recognized nationally for its impact.
