Police in Paris open fire on a car that then forced its way through a barrier where the Tour de France is being held, but the driver managed to escape.
Miami Marine Stadium is one of those rare, one-of-a-kind landmarks you'd only find in the 305. This stunning Modernist creation was originally built on Virginia Key as the first purpose-built venue for powerboat racing in the U.S. In the years following, the bayfront Ley Biscayne locale hosted rock stars, presidents, major sporting events and earned itself a place in the history books. Sadly, it fell into disrepair, but the good news is, a restoration plan has been approved and Friends of Miami Marine Stadium are spearheading fundraising and refurbishment efforts. A bright future is ahead for one of Miami's most remarkable assets, and we can't wait for the final product.
