PORTLAND A physical altercation on Fay Street led to a number of charges against a town resident.
Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies reported that upon their arrival at about 8:56 p.m. Sunday, they learned that Steven A. Scott, 54, of Fay Street allegedly damaged multiple items and pushed another individual to the ground. This incident occurred with a child under 17 years old in the residence.
A further investigation revealed that Scott did violate an order of protection during the incident. Scott was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment. ....
