Tallinn Song Festival Grounds are hosting a big bikers-get-together. Organisers say over 10,000 will show up, from all over Europe. Yesterday, the early birds had arrived, heartily welcoming one another. To Harley-Davidson Club Estonia Super Rally, set to last till June 9th, participants are riding in along Via Baltica, passing through Pärnu. Or else, ships carry them across the waves to Port of Tallinn.
Renovation work on the area in front of Terminal D of the Tallinn Passenger Port has been completed. The square, which previously contained a series of parking lots, will be open to city residents and visitors to the port on Wednesday.
This story began in 2018, when the state-owned company Port of Tallinn leased out a large parcel of land with quays. There used to be a coal terminal there, but the operator of the terminal, Coal Terminal AS, went bankrupt in the spring of 2017.
