JERUSALEM An Israeli was killed in a rocket attack on central Israel on Saturday, Israeli authorities said.
Carmel Shama-Ha Cohen, mayor of Ramat Gan city outside Tel Aviv, told reporters that a 50-year-old man died after a rocket hit a road outside his residential building in Ramat Gan. (Israel-Gaza-Rocket)

JAKARTA Nine people were reportedly missing after a boat with 20 people aboard capsized in Kedung Ombo Reservoir in Indonesia s Central Java province on Saturday, an official said.

FREETOWN, May 15 (Xinhua) The Parliament of Sierra Leone has ratified the China Kingho Company s Rail and Port Lease Agreement, the company told Xinhua Saturday.
The agreement will allow Kingho Railway and Port Company Limited to manage and operate the infrastructure of the railway and Pepel Port for haulage and export of Kingho Mining Company s iron ore out of the country, it said.
The agreement also makes provision for Kingho to haul the commodity of any other company along the rail corridor under a commercial agreement, it added. ....

FREETOWN, May 15 (Xinhua) The Parliament of Sierra Leone has ratified the China Kingho Company s Rail and Port Lease Agreement, the company told Xinhua Saturday.
The agreement will allow Kingho Railway and Port Company Limited to manage and operate the infrastructure of the railway and Pepel Port for haulage and export of Kingho Mining Company s iron ore out of the country, it said.

Following the publication yesterday of allegations made in parliament this week by the opposition APC party parliamentary leader – Chernor M. Bah, accusing the Bio-led government of secretly permitting the Chinese mining company – Kingho Mining Company Ltd to ship millions of dollars worth of iron ore from the shores of Sierra Leone without parlaiment’s approval, the ministry of mines and mineral resources has responded in a presss statement.
Justifying its decision to allow the shipment to go ahead, the ministry of mines says that:
“The ownership of the iron ore stockpiled at the Pepel Port rests with the State and under the authority of the Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources. Kingho & GoSL Sign Railway & Port Lease Agreement : Sierra Leone Concord Times

Management of Kingho Investment Company Limited have on Friday joined officials of the mining and minerals sector of Sierra Leone to sign the railway and port lease agreement that will ensure the company’s subsidiary- Kingho Railway and Port Company Limited utilize the infrastructure for their iron ore transportation in the country. It should be noted that the Railway and Port is now the asset of the Government and the People of Sierra Leone.
The 192 kilometer railway facility which stretches from the new Iron Ore mines in Tonkolili District to the port town of Pepel in Port Loko District is owned by the Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL). In order to enhance effective transportation of the iron ore from the mining site in Tonkolili to be transported out of the country, Kingho has to lease the railway and port facilities from the GoSL. ....
