A 17-year-old boy from Port Kennedy, an 18-year-old man from Wellard and a 27-year-old man from Waikiki have all been charged with murder.
It is alleged the 17-year-old victim, Chikayne Heslip, was assaulted by a group near the corner of Porpoise Grove and Andes Close.

They have been refused bail and are due to appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court today.
Three other men, aged between 17 and 27, were earlier arrested in the Rockingham area and have also been charged with Mr Heslip s murder.

Mr Heslip s family issued a statement saying he always put others first and died coming to the aid of friends who were in trouble. Our understanding is Chikayne died protecting his mates and in our eyes he ll always be a selfless hero, you ll always be remembered as our hero, the statement read.
