Different storm in many ways. total snow accumulation i think will be about half of what the last storm was. so that means top end accumulations of only 20 inches but it s going to affect probably twice if not more populationwise. the number of people affected by this is going to be a large amount for sure. a couple areas of low pressure similar to the last storm and has a tropical moisture feed. that, too. but it s kind of got its act together earlier in the form of what s going on out west in the midwest and western great lakes. already snowing in places like chicago, dipping back through indianapolis, snow up to 12 inches potentially in these spots. heavy rain down to the south. and then this moisture shield continues to work its way off towards the north and east. back towards chicago, though, that s where we re seeing some of this snowfall. the actual papa low or mama low is back through st. louis and that s going to be feeding the energy out ahead of it. the problem with chicago ....
