FALL RIVER For Catholics in the Diocese of Fall River, the pandemic has brought changes to both the logistics of practicing their faith and the spiritual content of those practices. This will ring especially true as area Catholics observe Ash Wednesday this week and the period of Lent leading up to Easter Sunday.
“Lent, and then Easter, are ultimately seasons of hope, because they are seasons that remind us that there is nothing that is impossible through God,” said Father Tom Washburn, rector of Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption and pastor in the Good Shepherd and St. Stanislaus parishes.
