By 10:25 a.m., ten minutes into the assault, the first calls to 911 started pouring in. dispatcher said there was a lot of noise. the calls coming in were garbled. police did not know how serious the call was. nevertheless, police were on the scene just three minutes later. three minutes after the first calls started coming in. lieutenant brian murphy was one of the first police officers to arrive on the scene. a more than 20-year police veteran, he was the emergency managemently ace son for oak creek. he attended to a person he found in the parking lot who had been wounded and while he was continuedi to that person, that s when the gunman shot lieutenant murphy, too. he was hiding in an ambush nearby. he shot the lieutenant eight times at close range. the bullet-proof vest may have saved his life but he was reportedly shot in the neck and the cheek as well as the bullets that hit his vest. officers say that after he was ....

seven people are dead at this house of worship. it s a temple used by the sikh community in the city of oak creek, wisconsin. six of them were shot dead by a gunman who opened fire during a religious service inside. the gunman is also dead, according to police, shot by a responding police officer. that police officer was wounded. two other people are also wounded. police in oak creek talked to reporters a few minutes ago. they didn t add much more information except to say that they were treating the shooting as a, domestic terrorist type incident. they are also confident the gunman was operating alone. police don t plan to release more official information until tomorrow morning. here is what oak creek police had to say a few minutes ago. what we had happen today was an individual. our officers responded to a 911 call. because of the heroic actions of our officers they stopped it being worse than it could have been. our officers responded to the scene, did find a v ....
