Mounties found more than they bargained for when attempting to recover a stolen SUV.
Overnight Tuesday, the Turtle Mountain RCMP detachment received a report of suspects entering a Rock Lake garage, stealing a white SUV, and fleeing.
While driving to the R.M. of Argyle location, they were alerted to a second robbery of a similar nature in the area. The call told them another garage nearby had been entered by suspects who stole an all-terrain vehicle.
When they arrived with police dogs, they could not locate the suspects.
Later in the evening that Tuesday, a built-in tracking system inside the SUV located the vehicle. Police then followed the tracking, and at 9:10 p.m. they found the vehicle in the R.M. of Victoria on Highway 2. ....
